Don’t Freak Out

Brilliant post-election, on-the-media commentary dissecting the secular left’s reactionary brain-droppings over at GetReligion.org. (See links below.) The emerging story line of this election is that Bush won on an anti-homosexual agenda. This is dead wrong, and if the Democrats run with it, they will sink further into irrelevance in ineffectiveness. The biggest issue in this election was abortion, as it has been the biggest issue in American politics for 30 years. There really was almost no difference between Bush and Kerry on gay issues. But on abortion, the Democrats have alienated a large bloc of their own voters. (See Terry Mattingly’s analysis of the changes in Democrat party platform. in the last/latest story linked below.)
