Of Note
December 01, 2004
tNP contributing editor Eugene McCarraher’s review in Books & Culture of The Church Confronts Modernity: Catholic Intellectuals and the Progressive Era, by Thomas E. Woods, Jr., is online. In the B&C blog, Nathan Bierma says he “sorely need[s] to spend some sustained time reading the works of the late Jesuit scholar Walter Ong.” Don’t we all … need to read more brilliant Jesuits. (Is there any other kind? Oh, right–the ones who are university presidents…) And another tnP CE, Patton Dodd, has another excerpt from his book at KtB. Dodd was recently interviewed by Relevant magazine, but it’s not online. Part of it is quoted and discussed here at Evangelical Expat. This is Of Note in The Japery, a part of The New Pantagruel.
