Getting it Right on the Left

Despite the drumbeat that early started the left’s effort to circle the wagons against the “religious right’s” opposition to the judicial murder of Terri Schiavo–and the more recent chattering that the feckless Democrats failed to push the pro-death position to the fullest extent–a few people, not typically thought of as “conservative,” have proved the the left is not so monolithically stupid and reactive: Nat Hentoff in The Village Voice and Ralph Nader from his secret lair, much to the chagrin of pinheads like Doug Ireland. Also of note: this piece in The Harvard Crimson and another by John Leland in the Times. And let’s not forget the Right Rev.
