Douthat on the Derb

According to Ross Douthat’s excellent profile of John Derbyshire’s kind of conservatism, I suppose I have “something of the night” about me for preferring the Derb as a pragmatic ally on many issues over against the middling liberal “moderates” of the leading American political parties today.
