Stegall Against Walmart and Cheap Soup
September 26, 2006
No doubt to the annoy of the Con-Crunchy crowd, the demise of TNP leaves Mr. Stegall (and others) free to carry on their subversive insidiousness more freely in other fields. Stegall appears again in the newspaper of the much maligned Crunchy King, Rod Dreher, with this blast against George Will’s apology for the Mega-Lo-Mart Way. I also note that the latest issue of FT (not yet online) contains letters of support for Dreher’s Crunchitude with many unanswered salvos against the philistine Meilander. It has been awhile since I heard from Mignon Sass, whose letter leads the charge. This is Stegall Against Walmart and Cheap Soup in The Japery, a part of The New Pantagruel.
